FCCPC, in collaboration with the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA), hosted a One-Day Sensitisation Workshop on Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) and its Products for staff of the Commission.

Papers presented at the workshop included Rights & Responsibilities of Consumers of GM Foods, Regulatory Framework for Biotechnology in Nigeria, Biosafety Global Practice, Safety of Genetically Modified Foods, GMOs: Who is Qualified to Seek Redress?, Establishing Consumer Trust for GM Foods, and GMOs in the Media.
