DRAFT Sales Promotion (Amended) Regulations, 2026

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (the Commission/FCCPC) hereby announces the publication of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Sales Promotion (AMENDED) Regulations, 2026.

Pursuant to sections 17, 18, & 163 of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 (FCCPA) 2018, the Commission has amended and, consequently, publishes the Draft Sales Promotion (Amended) Regulations, 2026 to protect consumers and ensure fair conduct of promotional sales activities.  

The Draft Sales Promotion (Amended) Regulations, 2026 amends the Consumer Protection (Sales Promotions) Regulations, 2005 and modifies applicable fees for notifications.

The Draft Sales Promotion (Amended) Regulations, 2026 is issued/published to enable relevant stakeholders and members of the public provide inputs and comments as part of statutory requirement for the Commission’s consultative process.

Stakeholders and members of the public can access the Draft Regulations on the Commission’s website (see attached copy).

Inputs, comments and recommendations are welcomed on or before October 20, 2026 through hard copy or email: salespromoregulations2026@fccpc.gov.ng.
